| Ranging from the whimsical to the surreal, Tyson has created rich, beautifully rendered artwork for commercial use since 1991.
In 2006 he began bridging his talents into the fine art realm, producing original works for sale and gallery appearances. Tyson works from his home studio in Portland, Oregon, living the good life with his lovely wife, Danielle, two amazing kids, Evan and Tessa, and two Boxer dogs, Sparky and Baxter. Between projects, he has impromptu jam sessions with friends, writes and records music, and heads outside whenever the sun is there to greet him. In 2007, Tyson’s fine artwork (digital output on canvas) appeared in the Pixel: Artists Who Use the Computer exhibit in Lake Oswego’s annual Festival of the Arts where he won The Patron’s Award. In 2002, the Society of Illustrators’ awarded Tyson an honorable mention in their annual competition, presenting his art in the Illustrator’s Annual and the Museum of American Illustration in New York. In 2001, American Showcase selected him to illustrate the cover of their illustration directory, which exhibits the nation’s finest commercial illustrators. |
